Hootie and the Blowpop Tree
During Spring Break, Cousin Maggie came to stay for a few days, and we joined some of Anne Parks' "chick" friends at Easley Amused. It was so much fun, and the girls did a great job on their owls!

Chirpy Chick Field Trip
Anne Parks had her first ever field trip this week to the Museum of Natural Science. I'm the "Field Trip Mom", so I got to drive. Addy Katherine and William rode in our car. Anne Parks was very excited to ride with her friends!
She especially like riding with William. :)

Anne Parks' First Game
The day has finally arrived! Anne Parks had her first soccer game. She's been wanting to play soccer for a long time - ever since she saw that soccer players get to wear knee socks.
The night before the big game, she said she was couldn't sleep because she was so excited about her "soccer program". When I told her that it was actually a game and that another team would be there to play against her, she couldn't believe it! We talked about important aspects of the game like how she shouldn't get her feelings hurt if she got pushed or if the referee blew his whistle at her. I also reminded her not to do cartwheels during a game - something she liked to do at practice, and that it was not only okay to take the ball from the other team, but that she should try to do it.
Well, this girl went on to score 5 points (some of them by stealing from the other team)! We were so proud (and surprised)!

Anne Parks loves to practice dribbling her basketball, and she's gotten pretty good at it. Last week, she had her mid-year TOT performance and did great!
