Chirpy Chick Christmas Party

Liles and Anne Parks

Isabella and AP

We've been working on the whole "smile thing". AP gets a little carried away when posing!

Nora's Christmas Program

Here are some photos from Nora's first Christmas program. Her class "sang" Jingle Bells and rang, well, jingle bells. I went down to the front of the crowd to get some close-up shots. Nora saw me and came and sat in my lap! Her teacher, Miss Meka, had to come get her and hold her for the rest of their performance. It was sort of traumatic.

Cousin Alli's Christmas Program

While visiting in Hattiesburg, Anne Parks and I were excited to attend my cousin Alli's Christmas program. She's about to graduate from William Carey with a degree in music. She's beautiful and incredibly talented, and we just don't get to see her enough. The show was great, and Anne Parks loved taking pictures with one of the stars after it was over.

Chirpy Chick Christmas Program

Okay, so I'm pretty behind on my posts. During the holidays, I've taken tons of pictures, and it's going to take me a while to catch up. I know I've been a blog-slacker lately, but I can't use my computer while Nora's awake. My "little houdini" can press one button and delete an entire screen - I don't know how she does it! Anyway, here's my next post...

Anne Parks did a great job in her Chirpy Chick Christmas Program.

Book Club Christmas

I am very blessed to be a part of a fabulous book club. People always ask, "Is it the kind of book club where you really read a book?" That always strikes me as funny. What other kind of book club is there. We get together because we all love to read. I love that we are a group of intelligent, diverse women and that book club at times challenges me to think at a higher level than every day life usually requires. I've read things I would have never picked up, thought about/discussed topics that I wouldn't have otherwise, and made more time for myself to read in the midst of hectic mommy/work duties.
I really can't express how much I love my book club!
This year, we celebrated Christmas with a cooking class at the Viking Cooking School. We had a blast, and cooked/ate some really good food, too!

On the Menu:
--Fresh Crab and Brie Bisque with Roasted Garlic Crostini
--Shrimp and Scallops en Papillote with Fresh Oranges
--Baby Spinach with Spicy Pine Nuts and Warm Pancetta Vinaigrette
--Decadent Chocolate Cherry Fondue with Cream Cheese Pound Cake and Fresh Fruit Dippers
