If you're happy and you know it, say "Namaste"!

Anne Parks is in her third week of Itsy Bitsy Yoga. It's yoga for kids that uses the "sing and do" method. If you know Anne Parks, she LOVES singing and doing. We both have a lot of fun at the class, but I think Anne Parks' favorite time is when she can come home and show her Daddy what she's learned. Some of her favorites are guppy pose (shown above), star pose, kissy feet, and toes-to-the-nose. We've been practicing each night before bed and I really think it helps her relax for bedtime. Here is the link to the Itsy Bitsy Yoga site, if you are interested, http://www.itsybitsyyoga.com/ Namaste!

All Is Well

After two dentist visits (a dentist then a pediadontist), a few x-rays, and lots of tears, it has been determined that Anne Parks' little mouth is okay. The only damage is superficial. The pediadontist says that she can fill in the missing spot, but would like to wait for 3 or 4 months until her tooth has grown more. So, until then, I guess we'll have to live with a snaggle-tooth.

Snaggle-Tooth

Well, so much for the tiny tot beauty pageant circuit. Anne Parks fell in the bathtub and knocked half of her front tooth off. It was a very traumatic experience for us all. Jason and I were watching her play in the tub. I kept peeking my head over the side and acting silly. Anne Parks got up to come toward me and BAM! She went face-first into the edge of the tub. It was horrible. She was screaming and bleeding and I could see a huge chunk of her tooth laying on her tongue. It ended up getting swallowed in all of the commotion. Once we all calmed down and the bleeding stopped, we realized that it was coming from a busted lip, not the tooth. Good news. Her tooth didn't seem to hurt, but I guess it felt funny because she kept wiggling her lips around then laughing. At first I was terribly upset because she was hurting, but now that I know she's okay, I've realized that she may be a snaggle-tooth until her adult teeth come in! We're making our first visit to the dentist tomorrow. Hopefully, he'll have a solution. If not, her smile will certianly have character! We were able to snap a snaggle-pic, but only when we held her upside down.

Grand Opening!

I just can't tell you how proud I am of my sister. She has worked really hard and started her own business, a consignment boutique, in Starkville. I'll be there this weekend for her grand opending. It's very exciting! Join us, if you're in town, and tell your friends! Check out Emily's blog for more information: http://reedstringerfamily.blogspot.com/

Our Little Fashionista

This is one of my favorite pictures of Anne Parks. She always tries to put my sunglasses on around her neck. I took the picture to capture her "bad hair day," but I think she ended up looking fabulous.
She's definitely a show-out and loves attention (just one of the ways she reminds me of her Mommasissy every day).

Follow the Leader

Well, I've wanted to do the "blog thing" for quite a while. I'm not really sure what I'm doing, but I guess I'll learn as I go. My sister just came out with hers, which has prompted me to finally make a go at this.
